The remains of former Environment Secretary and ABS-CBN Foundation chairperson Gina Lopez was brought to the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Center on Tuesday.
KAMI learned that the mourners applauded when the remains of Lopez arrived.

In a tweet by ABS-CBN News, the family of Lopez carried her casket to the viewing area.
According to a Facebook post by the ABS-CBN Foundation, a public memorial service will be held at the La Mesa Eco Park on Aug. 22 to 23 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Instead of cards or flowers, the family requested that donations be sent to the ABS-CBN Foundation.

In a previous report by KAMI, Lopez passed away on August 19 at the age of 65. She suffered from multiple organ failure.
Regina “Gina” Lopez was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte as the Secretary of Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in 2016. She was the long-time chairperson of ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. and the founder of Bantay Bata 163.
