Diez shared a photo with Hontiveros on her Facebook page. Hontiveros was the one who filed the Senate Bill No. 159 or SOGIE bill which aims to protect the LGBTQ community.

In another Facebook post, Diez clarified that she is not endorsing any politician. She also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supports LGBTQ rights.

This post came after she deleted her photos with Senators Go and Marcos.

“We need to be united and set aside political differences. Just because we have different ideas, doesn't mean we can't compromise and fight for one cause,” she wrote.

In a previous report by KAMI, Hontiveros renewed her push to pass the SOGIE bill. She urged her colleagues in the Congress to approve the bill seeking to protect the LGBTQ members in the country.

Gretchen Custodio Diez went viral on social media after she was barred by a janitress to use the ladies’ comfort room in a Cubao mall.
