- About three dozens of US teens were reported hospitalized due to vape
- The patients have been showing the same symptoms like coughs and shortness of breath
- However, investigations are still on-going if the illnesses are connected
Almost three dozens of young people in the US have been hospitalized due to severe respiratory problems and lung disease after using vape with nicotine.
KAMI learned that US health officials are still investigating the precise cause of the illnesses.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, health departments in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin have issued statements that the patients have been showing the same symptoms like coughs, shortness of breath, dizziness, and fatigue.

At least 33 cases have been confirmed by the officials and about 22 are still under investigation. Some officials said that it was too early to confirm whether the illnesses were connected. However, each of the patients reported that they are using e-cigarettes or vapes.
“We're in the process of interviewing all of our patients, to try to find out any commonalities,” Thomas Haupt of Wisconsin Department of Health Services said.
"At this particular point, vaping is the only thing that they have in common, but we're trying to cast a broader net and just make sure that we are not missing something as well,” he added.
