- He was doing it to taunt Terrence Jones, a black import

Arwind Santos was caught on camera doing a monkey gesture while on the bench during a PBA game.
This became controversial because he was doing the gesture to mock and taunt Terrence Jones, a black import playing for TNT.
It is generally considered racist to use monkeys or apes to insult black people.
Netizens were outraged over Arwind’s behavior:
“For my non-Filipino followers, Arwind Santos taunted Terrence Jones with a monkey gesture during a game. Did he apologize for the racist act? No… Sorry world. Sorry human race.”
“Arwind can't play mind games, because he has no mind and brain at all!”
“What Arwind Santos did... What was done to Gretchen Diez... just shows how looooooong we Filipinos still have to go to get educated.”
“What Arwind did has nothing to do with mind games! It shows his level of education and class!!! Sad thing is theres a lot more that think that same way.”
“I don't think Arwind is racist. Just clueless.”
“Ganito ka-ignorante si arwind sa ganitong mga bagay. He should really educate himself. This gesture/act is purely racist and does not have a place in society. He should be ashamed.”
As reported earlier by KAMI, Korina Sanchez visited the new mansion of PBA player Doug Kramer.
Arwind Santos is a Filipino basketball player who plays for the PBA team San Miguel Beermen. He is an eight-time PBA champion and a former league MVP.
