Senator Grace Poe questioned the absence of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairperson Danilo Lim during the Senate hearing for the provincial bus ban and other traffic woes on EDSA.
KAMI learned that Lim told Poe that he would be attending the Senate hearing. However, he failed to do so.
“Nalulungkot ako na ang chairman ng MMDA ay hindi dumalo, sabi niya dadalo siya,” Poe said, as reported by the GMA News Online (author Amita Legaspi).
“Hindi ba niya pinapahalagan ang hearing na ito? Hindi ba niya pinapahalagahan ang hinaing ng taumbayan?” he added.

MMDA general manager Jojo Garcia said that Lim was with them in the morning. However, he had to leave to attend a memorandum of agreement (MOA) signing which they cannot reschedule.
In a previous report by KAMI, many netizens aired their frustration over the new traffic schemes implemented by MMDA along EDSA.
The MMDA implemented the provincial bus ban and yellow lane policy. However, the netizens said that it only worsened the traffic.
Grace Poe is the adopted daughter of actors Susan Roces and Fernando Poe Jr. She served as chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board from 2010 to 2012
