The Secretary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) finally exposed to public the result of the investigation on actor Eddie Garcia’s tragic death.
KAMI learned that it was Silvestre Bello III who released the findings, based on the report of Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC).
It can be remembered that the well-known celebrity died on June 20, following the accident that he suffered while on the set of a Kapuso drama series.
Eddie tripped on a cable wire while shooting a fight scene and he even went on a coma after fracturing his neck due to the accident.

Bello revealed that there was a lack of compliance with the things or persons needed before conducting a shooting, such as a safety officer.
He also mentioned that the death of the award-winning actor could have been avoided if there was someone tasked to ensure the safety of everyone while filming.
“There was lack of compliance with the requirement that in every activity there should be a safety officer…” the Labor Secretary stressed.
“They didn’t have one. Otherwise, Eddie Garcia would not have died,” he added.

The Kapuso network has yet to issue a formal statement regarding the findings on the accident that caused Eddie’s life.
