President Rodrigo Duterte expressed his worry about an ISIS attack and shared that he has been praying for God to spare the Philippines from “brutality.”
KAMI learned that the President does not want the country to end up like Iraq and Syria, where innocent people got involved in the attacks.
“Meron po akong ISIS and ito ‘yung nagbibigay sa akin ng kaba talaga,” the President noted.
“Just like Iraq, Syria, na maraming inosenteng tao ang nadadale,” Duterte said.
“Talagang ako’y nagdarasal, I’m praying, I really pray, talagang lumuluhod ako sa Diyos na to spare us the kind of brutality and cruelty in our country because it will really be bloody, bloody as it can ever be,” he added.

Earlier, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said in March that the government would take measures to prohibit ISIS from creating a base in the Philippines.
As previously reported by KAMI, President Duterte wanted to issue firearms to firefighters. He emphasized that the firemen should help the police and military to enforce the law.
