- Moreno said that he opted to do it personally instead of the centenarians going to their office
Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno personally distributed the P100,000 cash gift to the centenarians of the capital city.
KAMI learned that under the Centenarians Act of 2016, Filipinos are entitled to receive a cash reward once they reach 100 in age.
In a report by ABS-CBN News (author Katrina Domingo), the mayor opted to hand the reward personally, instead of the centenarians going to their office.
“Kesa sila 'yung papupuntahin, kami na lang pupunta sa kanila,” Moreno said.
