In a report by GMA-7 News (authored by Loretta Ramirez), Joey also explained that he was in Tito’s kitchen when he thought of the program’s title.

What sealed the deal for Joey was when he found out that name of the cook in Tito’s kitchen was Jesus. According to Joey, this was a sign that the title “Eat Bulaga” was divinely inspired.

"Nasa kusina ako nina Tito noong naisip ko 'yung pangalan. Tapos 'yung kusinero nila nandun siya. Ang pangalan niya Jesus,” Joey explained.
