Two groups of Chinese tourists allegedly took photos inside the Philippine Navy’s Tide Pole naval facility in Parola last week.

KAMI learned that according to some reports, the Chinese tourists were roaming inside the facility on July 23.

In a report by the Palawan News (author Gillian Faye Ibañez), the Naval Forces West (NAVFORWEST) has already sought for the help of the City Tourism Department (CTD) to make sure that no tourists would go inside military premises.

Sabi ko nga first time siyang nangyari, parang Monday or Tuesday. We are cooperating. Actually, I am attending several meetings pagdating dyan sa Western Command (WESCOM). Marami tayong efforts para mailatag din ang security all over the city not only sa ating mga tourist destinations,” City tourism officer Aileen Cynthia Amurao said.

According to the Philippine Star (author Patricia Lourdes Viray), the city tourism officer clarified that Parola is not part of any tour packages. It has not been clear yet whether the Chinese nationals went to the facility by boat or land transportation.
