Peter Joemel Advincula alias “Bikoy” surrendered to the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) on Monday at around 7 p.m.
KAMI learned that Advincula is among those facing a P1 billion cyber-libel suit filed by Bicolano businessman Elizaldy Co over the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.
In a report by the GMA News (author Anna Felicia Bajo), CIDG-NCR chief Colonel Arnold Thomas Ibay mentioned that the warrant of arrest served against Advincula was released by the Legazpi City Regional Trial Court Branch 5.
Co charged Advincula of linking him and his company Misibis Resort and Hotel Management Inc. to an “alleged drug syndicate supposedly operating in the Bicol and Visayas region.”
The businessman said that Advincula’s claim has maligned the reputation of his business and his good name.
As reported by the Inquirer (author Cathrine Gonzales), the court has recommended a P10,000 bail for Advincula.
In a previous report by KAMI, Advincula went to the Department of Justice to file his sworn statement over the sedition case against Vice President Leni Robredo and other opposition figures.
