Opposition Senator Risa Hontiveros criticized President Rodrigo Duterte for his decision to veto the Security of Tenure Bill, which seeks to end contractualization in the country.

KAMI learned that for Hontiveros, the President is not pro-workers like what he promised during the 2016 campaign.

In an interview with Dobol B sa News TV on Sunday, Hontiveros expressed her disappointment over the vetoed “Anti-Endo” bill.

Akala nung mga manggagawa simula nung siya ay nangampanya na tatanggalin daw niya yung endo and contractualization, magbibigay daan siya sa security of tenure,” Hontiveros said, as reported by the GMA News Online (author Erwin Colcol).

Hontiveros also questioned Duterte over certifying the bill as urgent just to veto it at the end.

Duterte sa Security of Tenure Bill,” she said.
