Boxing icon Senator Manny Pacquiao graced the flag ceremony in Manila on Monday.
KAMI learned that Pacquiao shared his gratitude towards Manila Mayor Isko Moreno for the clean-up drive he led in the capital city.
In a report by the Inquirer (author Dona Dominguez-Cargullo), Pacquiao gave a speech after the ceremony.
The boxing legend also shared his visit to Manila on social media.
“Two guys who came from nothing and now trying to help others do the same!” Pacquiao wrote.
Moreno also congratulated Pacquiao over his victory against Keith Thurman on July 21.

In a previous report by KAMI, Pacquiao defeated Thurman at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas via split decision. The Filipino boxing icon had a knockdown against Thurman during the first round.
