Explainer: What are the newly-added items that are prohibited in airplanes now?

- In the new list, nail cutter is no longer allowed for hand-carry

- Even skateboard and other sports equipment should be checked-in as well

The Office for Transportation Security has released a new list of prohibited items inside an airplane.

KAMI learned that among the new items prohibited are nail cutter and other manicure or pedicure materials.

Security is non-negotiable. We urge the public to refrain from bringing items that are prohibited in the airport to avoid delays and inconvenience,” OTS Administrator, Usec. Arturo Evangelista said.

In a report by ABS-CBN News (author Dexter Ganibe), skateboards, carpentry tools, bowling, and billiard balls are no longer allowed for hand-carry as well.
