The Cavitex-C5 Link flyover is now open for motorists, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways.

KAMI learned that with the new flyover, the travel time between Pasay and Taguig would be cut down to 45 minutes.

In a report by the Philippine Star (author Evelyn Macairan), the 1.6-billion flyover connects C5 to Merville, Pasay and Sucat, Parañaque.

The flyover is expected to ease the traffic in the Sales interchange near Villamor Air Base, SLEX East, and West Service Roads.

Cavitex-C5 flyover is part of the 7.7 kilometers-long C5 Southlink Expressway that is expected to be completed by 2022.
