Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno called on the Filipinos to stop from giving bribes or “kotong” to traffic enforces.
KAMI learned that the Manila mayor urged the people to discipline themselves if they want to change the city.
In a report by the Inquirer (author Faye Orellana), Moreno made the remark following the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) personnel who was caught in a CCTV footage allegedly accepting a bribe from a driver.

Moreno also acknowledged the fault of the enforcer for accepting the alleged bribe.
“Totoo pong may mali ang aming enforcer dahil tumanggap ng pera sa inyo, or what we call the kotong, totoong may pagkakamali siya,” Moreno stated.
In a previous report by KAMI, Moreno threatened to terminate all the MTPB personnel if they fail to point out who was the enforcer caught accepting the alleged bribe.
