- Senator Imee Marcos wore a yellow outfit during the SONA 2019
- Because of this, a netizen asked Kris Aquino about her thoughts
- The actress immediately responded and aired her opinion about the matter
Kris Aquino responded to a netizen’s inquiry about her thoughts on the yellow outfit worn by Senator Imee Marcos during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2019.
KAMI learned that the said lawmaker intentionally decided to wear the color of her family’s political rival in the hope of settling the issues formed between them.
“Move forward, magkaisa ulit… Tama na ang bangayan,” she quipped.
Because of this, a social media user asked Kris about her opinion upon seeing that the Senator chose to use the political color of the Aquinos during the much-anticipated event.
The “Queen of All Media” frankly stated that she is ready to meet the Marcoses “half-way” if Imee’s purpose of wearing yellow was to acknowledge mistakes in the past.
The famous celebrity also expressed that both of them should be open to conversations about their lives since they do not know the childhood stories of each other.
“If it’s a sincere gesture to reach out, acknowledge past sins and show remorse— I shall meet them halfway. We can move forward but we can do that only by acknowledging the past,” Kris wrote.
“Sen. Imee has never heard from me about my childhood & I have never heard about her history as well. We should be open to a conversation to understand our lives. Fair enough?” she added.
In a previous article by KAMI, Kris decided to take a vacation at a luxurious hotel suite in Tokyo, Japan.
Kris Aquino is the daughter of former President Cory Aquino and former Senator Benigno Aquino, Jr. Her father was one of Ferdinand Marcos’ firmest critics during his reign as the President of the Philippines.
