- Yeng Constantino’s husband recently got into an accident in Siargao
- The singer then took to social media her frustration over one of the hospitals in the area and even revealed the full name and photo of the doctor in charge
- This prompted one medical staff to speak out regarding the issue
Kapamilya singer Yeng Constantino has received backlash from netizens after posting an online rant about one of the local hospitals in Siargao.
It can be recalled that the singer even posted the full name and the photo of the doctor in charge to them in her post.
Aside from this, the hashtag ‘#NoToDoctorShaming’ also trended on Twitter after Yeng’s online post and vlog about her experience in the hospital.
KAMI learned the singer’s post prompted one medical staff from the said hospital to share what actually transpired during the incident.
According to the netizen, “Hello Ms. @YengPLUGGEDin . I am one of the med students who were with the doctor from Gen Luna who assisted your husband when he was rushed in the hospital. We rushed a patient to Dapa and while we were there, our preceptor was called to assist with your husband's case.
“I saw first hand how the doctor and staff in Dapa District Hospital did their best to give appropriate care to your husband despite lack of manpower and lack of facilities. I understand that you are frustrated bec you are not used to a setting with limited health services.
The medical staff’s post garnered reactions from netizens on social media. Here are some of their comments from entertainment site Fashion Pulis.
"Apparently vlogging is life. If you were really worried about your husband, dun Ang focus mo. Not on documenting it."
"Don't blame the practitioners! Blame the corruption in the country! Kahit anong galing ng doctor at nurse mo kung kulang sa equipment and proper utilities, hanggang libro na lang at hindi in clinical setting magagamit ang kaalaman nila."
"Oopss. Now that’s a different story! Very wrong, Yeng."
"Everything/anything for the gram, for the vlog, for the socmed, for the content.
