Robredo, Trillanes face criminal raps over controversial videos of ‘Bikoy’

- The authorities have taken another step about the “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos

- They filed charges against the Vice President and several others mentioned by “Bikoy”

Several criminal cases were filed against Vice President Leni Robredo, former Senator Antonio Trillanes III, and other personalities linked to Liberal Party (LP) in relation to the viral videos of “Bikoy.”

KAMI learned that it was the Philippine National Police - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) that filed cases against the aforementioned individuals, based on the testimonies of Peter Advincula.

It can be recalled that Advicula tried to link President Rodrigo Duterte and his family to illegal drugs through controversial “Ang Totoong Narcolist” videos.

However, he decided to come clean and vowed to release the names of LP and Catholic Church members who were allegedly “behind” the anti-Duterte move.

Capitalizing on Bikoy’s statements, the CIDG filed charges such as Sedition, Inciting to Sedition, Cyber Libel, Libel, and Estafa versus Robredo, Trillanes, and more than 35 others.

The Vice President and the other people tagged in “Ang Totoong Narcolist” are also facing Harboring a Criminal and Obstruction of Justice raps filed by the CIDG.

“As averred by Mr. Advincula, he was engaged by the respondents to spread lies against the president, his family and close associate, making them appear as illegal drug trade protectors and how they earned staggering amounts of money,” the complaint stated.

Leni Robredo is the first Vice President of the Philippines who is from the Bicol Region. She is the wife of the late former Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Jesse M. Robredo.
