‘Ang Probinsyano’ faces another complaint from PNP due to its recent episode

The top-rating teleserye, Ang Probinsyano, has once again caught the attention of the Philippine National Police (PNP) because of its recent episode.
KAMI learned that the said series aired scenes where some female cops were harassed by the members of a syndicate led by “Alyas Bungo.”
Four policewomen, including the character played by Phoebe Walker, were kidnapped by the criminals and some of them were harassed before being killed.
Because of this, the PNP is initiating a meeting with the officials of ABS-CBN regarding the latest episodes of Ang Probinsyano that they found “disturbing.”
Kimberly Molitas, the deputy spokesperson of PNP, said in a statement that they will review their signed agreement and look for possible violations.
It can be remembered that the armed forces and the Kapamilya series signed a Memorandum few months ago regarding the proper portrayal of policemen.
This is after the top-rating teleserye aired episodes showing the involvement of some uniformed personnel and high-ranking officials in illegal acts.
"We will talk to the Production Staff of ABS CBN and look at possible violation of our existing Memorandum of Understanding,” Molitas quipped.
“Depending on the extent of the violation, we may warn them or rescind the said MOU," she added.

As of the time of writing, the producers and directors of the ABS-CBN teleserye have yet to issue an official statement regarding the complaint of PNP.
