Rico Blanco reposted an article about his interview on his Twitter account. He called out the entertainment website who wrote the article because of its headline.
According to the headline, Rico does not want to be labeled as Keanu Reeves of the Philippines but the former Rivermaya member explained that what he meant during his interview was he wants making Filipinos local versions of global icons to be stopped.
"stupid headline will get me into trouble guys. my point was lets stop making filipinos local versions of global icons," he tweeted.
Rico also shared a screenshot of the article to show his exact statement.
"for those of you too lazy to click on a link before you make a comment," he wrote.
He also mentioned the Twitter account of the entertainment website as he gave them his message.
"and by the way @PEPalerts thats the last time youll ever be invited to a presscon of mine. i trusted you but you abused the trust like u always do w artists. next time learn to respect the artists you interview. understand they work hard and help put food on YOUR table."
Rico also called the entertainment website 'Paandar Entertainment Portal' and expressed his frustration over the article.
Rico Blanco is an OPM singer who popularized the songs Yugto, Your Universe and Antukin.
He recently collaborated with Maris Racal for the song 'Abot Langit'.
