Robin Padilla is now an aspiring Army reservist as confirmed by the Philippine Army on Facebook.

They posted about Binoe's visit in Sulu to attend youth forum and promote peace on July 7.

They also revealed that the action star already announced his desire to join the Army as a reservist.

"Padilla also announced that he will be joining the Philippine Army Reserve Component, stating his decision to volunteer as an honor to serve the country."

Moreover, Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala has already expressed his support and welcome over Padilla's desire to join Army Reserve Component.

"We thank Mr. Robin Padilla for his time and effort to advocate peace and unity to the people especially those who are affected by the threat of violent extremists. We welcome his desire to join the Army Reserve Component and contribute more to the Army's thrusts of nation-building. All citizens, whether celebrity or ordinary, are highly encouraged to join us in serving the people and securing the land," Army spokesperson Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala stated.

Furthermore, some netizens have expressed their support for Binoe. However, there were also some who reacted negatively.
