The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that their firstborn child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, got baptized in the Private Chapel at the Windsor Castle on Saturday.
KAMI learned that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were happy to share the photos from the special event.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are so happy to share the joy of this day with members of the public who have been incredibly supportive since the birth of their son,” it read on their Instagram post.
“They thank you for your kindness in welcoming their first born and celebrating this special moment,” it added.
During the special event, Baby Archie was wearing the replica of the royal christening gown. The gown has been worn by royal infants for 11 years now.
The original Royal Christening Robe was commissioned by Queen Victoria in 1841 and was worn by her first child. In 2004, a replica of the robe was made to preserve the original one.
In a previous report by KAMI, the Duchess of Sussex gave birth to Archie on May 6, 2019. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth met her new grandson at the Windsor Castle for the first time.
