Rica Peralejo shared an update of her motherhood and nursing journey to their Baby Manu who recently had to undergo lip and tongue tie revision.

Tongue-tie is a condition in which an unusually short, thick or tight band of tissue tethers the bottom of the tongue's tip to the floor of the mouth. Children who are tongue-tied or lip-tied have a lot of trouble nursing and eating, but the condition can be treated with a surgical cut.

With the challenges she faced, Rica was inspired upon seeing her son's smile, which she considers to be a source of inspiration for combating stress.

"That’s my dose of oxytocin, to combat the cortisol of rejection and overall stress,” Rica added.
