Kapuso noontime program “Eat Bulaga” instantly became one of the trending topics on social media because of its 40th anniversary celebration.
KAMI learned that the said show first aired on television on July 1979, therefore it is celebrating its 4 decades of causing laughter to a lot of people.
A short video clip that reminisced the journey of “Eat Bulaga” was presented to the audience and it was evident how the program has evolved through the years.
Moreover, the awards and recognitions that the aforementioned variety show and its hosts received were flashed on the big screen.
After airing the video presentation, the show’s former Little Miss Philippines winners Ice Seguerra and Ryzza Mae Dizon showcased their talents and gave heartfelt messages about their journey on the program.
“Katulad po ng napakarami pang mga bata, ang pangarap po namin ni Ryzza ay sa ‘Eat Bulaga’ nagkatotoo,” she quipped.
“Para sa mga bata, kung mayroon kayong pangarap, pwedeng-pwede kayong managinip lalo na kung may mga Dabarkads kayong kasama para tuparin ito,” she added.
Meanwhile, Joey de Leon, one of the main hosts of “Eat Bulaga,” uploaded some pictures of the show’s joyful celebration.
He even expressed his gratitude because the longest-running noontime program in the Philippines is still kicking on national television.
“Imadyin... APAT NA DEKADA! Mahigit LABING APAT NA LIBONG TANGHALIAN! Pag hindi pa naman tayo lubos na nagkalapit at magkakilanlan ewan ko na! Kaya sige, TULOY LANG ANG KAIN!” he wrote.
