Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto has made an enormous change in Pasig City on his first day in office as city mayor.
KAMI learned that the new mayor has suspended the odd-even traffic scheme in Pasig.
The scheme has been heavily criticized by motorists, as it banned vehicles from entering certain roads – Elisco Road, R. Jabson St., San Guillermo Street, Sandoval Avenue, and F. Legaspi Bridge – on specific days depending on their license plates’ last number.
“All our traffic enforcers will no longer apprehend motorists for odd-even. Odd-even was an unfair scheme. It was disjointed and it is only right that we suspend the odd-even scheme,” he said, as reported by ABS-CBN News (authored by Kristine Sabillo).
KAMI reported earlier that Vico responded to a netizen who noticed something odd about his outfit.
Vico Sotto is the son of comedian Vic Sotto and actress Coney Reyes. He has four half-siblings – Oyo and Danica, whose mother is Dina Bonnevie; Paulina, whose mom is Angela Luz; and Talitha, whose mom is Pauleen Luna.
