Tirso Cruz III was a special guest on the ABS-CBN morning talk show “Magandang Buhay.”
KAMI learned that he opened up on the program about losing a child. His son, Teejay Cruz, passed away last year due to cancer.
The veteran actor explained that he posts on social media every day about his late son because he wants to hold on to his essence.
He added that the pain of losing a child never goes away.
"Yung lang pagpopost ko ng ganon, it’s my way of not letting go of his memories, of not letting go of his essence… Sana andito ka pa…"
"His spirit is in Heaven, but ‘yung essence niya is something that I want to hold on to…"
"The pain never goes away, you just learn to live with it"
"Nandun ‘yung pain, hindi talaga mawawala. And sad to say wala ka na talagang magagawa."
“At least when you look back, you know you did the best you can," Tirso revealed.

In a previous report by KAMI, Tirso revealed that his son Bodie Cruz got ordained as a pastor in Victory Church.
Tirso Cruz is married to Lyn Cruz. Their children are Bodie, Teejay and Djanin Cruz. Teejay died last year after months of battling cancer.
