Two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant has recently announced that he will be leaving Golden State Warriors for Brooklyn Nets.
KAMI learned that Durant is expected to sign a maximum-level deal with Nets after the NBA’s free agency period.
In a report by the ABS-CBN News, The Boardroom, a company and sports-business network owned by Durant, has announced on Instagram that, “Kevin Durant has confirmed he will sign a max deal with the Brooklyn Nets.”
It has been reported that a maximum deal could be worth $164 million for four years.
However, it was stated under the NBA free agency rules that teams cannot sign contracts with players until Saturday. All of the confirmation will be announced by then.
Durant joined the Warriors in 2016. He won titles in 2017 and 2018. However, Durant is expected not to play for the NBA Season 2019-2020 due to his ruptured right Achilles tendon.
In a previous report by KAMI, Durant had to go through an operation for his Achilles in the middle of the NBA Finals between the Warriors and Toronto Raptors.
KAMI also reported earlier that the Raptors made its historic win after bagging its first-ever NBA championship when they defeated Warriors.
