An OFW was reportedly sent to Syria by her agency instead of sending her to Dubai. Worse, the said OFW is nowhere to be found.
KAMI learned that Facebook user Shahida Sarobang Roma took to social media to seek help in locating Rasmiya Diragen.
According to her post, Rasmiya thought that her agency would be sending her to Dubai. However, she was sent to Syria, one of the countries in the Middle East where Filipinos were not allowed to be deployed.
At first, Rasmiya was reportedly ill-treated by her Syrian employer.
The sister of Rasmiya claimed that she was still able to communicate with Rasmiya at the outset but this was abruptly cut off.
Rasmiya was also reportedly slapped by her employer, and that she was not given food.
According to Rasmiya's sister, she also had to drink water from the toilet just so she would be able to survive.
Her sister has lost communication with her and is already very worried about her situation.
Roma is hoping that through her post, help would come Rasmiya's way.
