Pop icon Madonna has released a new music video titled, “I Rise.”
KAMI learned that Rappler CEO Maria Ressa was featured in the new music video.
In a report by ABS-CBN News, the video tackles global fight for rights and equality. It showed different clips from many protests around the world.
Ressa also commented about her inclusion in the video.
“Madonna and me? Wow! That’s cool!” she said.
“I watched the video. I think it’s interesting to see what’s happening globally, right?” Ressa added.
It featured many social issues like gun violence in the United States, fight for LGBT rights, abuse, natural disasters, and press freedom.
The song “I Rise” was created by Madonna and TIME Studios. It is part of her 14th studio album called “Madame X.”
