Eduardo "Eddie" Verchez Garcia passed away at the age of 90 on Thursday, June 20, at around 4:55 in the afternoon.
It can be recalled that he tripped and collapsed during the taping of GMA’s series, ‘Rosang Agimat’ last Saturday, June 8, which led to a severe cervical fracture.
KAMI learned that his longtime partner of 33 years, Lilibeth Romero, is quite composed compared to the past few days.
According to Dr. Tony Rebosa, "Lilibeth is quite composed, unlike the last few days. She knows that Tito Eddie is now at peace and there's no more pain," ABS-CBN reported.
Rebosa also told GMA News that his longtime partner stayed with him until his last breath.
Around noontime of June 20, according to Rebosa, the veteran actor was still hanging on to life, which is why most of his loved ones didn't expect him to pass away on Thursday.

As reported earlier by KAMI, Eddie Garcia passed away at the age of 90, on Thursday, June 20.
Eddie Garcia is known for his excellent acting skills especially for the action films. He portrayed antagonist roles to some films top billed by Fernando Poe Jr.
At the age of 90, he is still able to do TV series and films. In fact, he even accepts gay roles in movies which brought him numerous citations and awards.
