- Vickie Rushton guested on the recent episode of “Tonight With Boy Abunda”
- She was asked about how badly she wanted to win the title
- Her response wowed the show’s host and the studio audience
Vickie Marie Rushton willingly opened up about how badly she wanted to bring home a crown during the Binibining Pilipinas 2019 pageant.
KAMI learned that the beauty queen aired her honest thoughts during her guesting recently on the entertainment show titled “Tonight With Boy Abunda.”
Vickie was the heavy favorite before and during the Coronation Night on June 9, especially that she was able to get 6 minor awards from the competition.
She was also the First runner-up in the previous edition of Binibining Pilipinas that was why she was considered as the frontrunner this year.
However, everything changed during the latter part of the program where she failed to answer well the question that was thrown to her.
Vickie was not able to bring home a crown and she even failed to duplicate her strong finish at Binibining Pilipinas 2018.
The beauty queen stated in her interview that she really wanted to win in the prestigious pageant and she got emotional because of failing to do so.
She emphasized that she wanted the crown not just for herself but for the people who are behind her advocacy – the people with down syndrome.
“I really want to win, Tito Boy… Naging emotional ako kasi sabi ko last year, gusto kong manalo para sa sarili ko… Pag nag-join ako ng pageant, gusto ko lang manalo, gusto ko yung crown, gusto ko yung title…” she quipped.
“Pero this year, nag-iba lahat dahil sa advocacy ko… I want to win because of them, because of the kids na masi-save ko yung buhay nila if ever manalo ako,” she added.
After making this statement, the host of the show could not help but be amazed because of what he heard from Vickie.
