Rox Puno, the son of the late OPM Icon Rico J. Puno, decided to make name for himself by joining the famous reality singing competition “Tawag Ng Tanghalan.”
KAMI learned that the said personality appeared as a contestant in the June 15 episode of the noontime variety show titled “It’s Showtime.”
He was introduced as a resident of Makati, where his father served as a Councilor, therefore he represented Metro Manila during the trending battle.
It can be noticed that the singing style of Rox had some similarities with how his father Rico performed on stage.
He also sang the hit song of his dad titled “Kapalaran” as a tribute and he was able to impress the judges.
Rox was able to edge out the 2 other daily contenders and he also got the “golden mikropono” from the defending champion.
