Eddie Garcia’s partner Lillibeth Romero shares exclusive details about the actor's condition

Eddie Garcia had been in the same state four days after his accident in the set of a GMA 7 soap. He had remained comatose in Makati Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit.
According to a report by Ricky Lo of The Philippine Star, the actor was placed under a 48-hour “critical observation,” and he remained unresponsive.
Eddie Garcia's longtime partner Lillibeth Romero talked about the incident in an interview with The STAR.
Lilibeth shared that Eddie was declared DOA (Dead On Arrival) at Mary Johnston Hospital where he was first rushed after the accident.
She also explained about the initial statement from her son, which was claimed to be an “official family statement."
Lillibeth’s son Nikki Romero was flooded with questions about the incident and said it could have been a heart attack.
However, after some tests, it was found out that the actor did not suffer a heart attack but a neck injury.
Eddie was transferred to MMC where it was confirmed by Dr. Enrique Lagman, Lilibeth's uncle that the actor did not have a heart attack.

According to her, she was told that the accident which was caught on cam happened on the 3rd shoot of the same scene. She also added that they should have secured the safety of the area to prevent accidents.
"It was an accident that could have been prevented," she said.
Eddie's partner of 33 years shared that she felt no premonition from the actor. He was his usual self and bade goodbye to her smiling in the morning before leaving their house.
The actor has remained unresponsive but his partner remained hopeful.
At the ICU, I keep on whispering to him, never mind if he doesn’t respond at all, not even with a slight movement of his fingers.”
Eddie Garcia is an actor, a director and an endorser. In an interview with Esquire Philippines, the actor said he initially wanted to be a soldier but ended up as an actor.
