While everyone laughs at every wit and humor the Alma Moreno parody Twitter account tweets, the actress and senatorial candidate admitted she was hurt.
"Masyado naman ako pinaglalaruan. Masyado naman ako binabastos na. Masakit," Moreno remarked. (I am very much ridiculed. I got disrespected intensely. It hurts.)
The parody account came to existence following Moreno’s interview with Karen Davila on ANC’s “Headstart”. The said interview has become a much talked-about topic since then. It gave her a colorful campaign, regardless of it being viewed in a negative light.
At the height of election on May 9, the parody account had many netizens bursting into laughter.
“Whoever wins tomorrow will be declared the winner,” it said.
As of Wednesday night, the account @LovelinessAlma has been deleted after Moreno’s family took action. "Please, tigilan na ho ninyo ako. Tama na iyon, kumbaga ang taong sobra nang bumagsak, wag nang apakan," Moreno noted. (Please stop. That's enough, do not step on someone who already has fallen.)
Meanwhile, Moreno denied being disheartened when asked about the result of the senatorial elections.
"Hindi nga ako lumuha eh. Pag nanalo ako, mas luluha ako," Moreno revealed. (I did not even shed a tear. If I won, I would probably cry.)
"Akala nga ng lahat masyado daw depressed ako, dahil daw natalo. Sabi ko hindi, maluwag kong tinanggap na ako ay hindi sinuwerte," she said. (Many thought I am depressed, because I lost. I said no, I wholeheartedly accepted that I was unlucky.)
Moreno was only urged to run, she did not dream of becoming a senator. Because of that, it made the bitter pill of defeat easier to swallow for her.
"Hindi naman talaga ako nangarap talagang maging senador eh. Siguro nakita ni Lord na hanggang dito ka lang. May dahilan lahat si Lord. May reason iyan. Mayroon kang mas magandang pupuntahan," she explained. (I never actually dreamt of becoming a senator. Maybe Lord said I should stay like this. He has a reason. You have a better destination.)
