- A teacher has found a way to make each morning of her students a great one
- Before entering the room, they could either give her a high-five, fist bump or a hug
- Many of her students chose the "hug" option, a signal that they just want that sense of comfort around them
Teaching isn't an easy job, but seeing children happy and having learned something at the end of the day may be the most fulfilling moment of all.
A video of a teacher, Delane Fernz Celeste, Grade V at Arangkada Bawinges Bawing Elementary School, General Santos City, who has found a way to greet her students with more than just the traditional "good morning" greeting has gone viral.
KAMI learned that the teacher pasted pictures of four greeting options right beside the doorpost.
Each student before entering the room would tap a picture, which would tell the kindhearted teacher what type of "greeting" they want.
Some of the students chose the high-five. There are those who chose the fist-bump.
But there are many who chose the "hug," signifying that they want to be hugged by their teacher at the start of the day.
The caption of Teacher Celeste in the video she posted on FB stated, "Develop a passion in learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow."
May there be more teachers like Teacher Celeste, who would go out of their way to make their students feel happy and learn at the same time.
Suffice to say, what she did was something beyond the call of duty.
Kudos to Teacher Celeste!
