- Heart Evangelista has heard about the criticism that her StarStruck co-judge Jose Manalo does not deserve to be a judge on the show
- The actress defended the comedian
- Cherie Gil also shared her thoughts about the issue
Heart Evangelista has responded to a criticism she has been hearing about the new season of the GMA-7 program StarStruck.
KAMI learned that she defended Jose Manalo from the criticism that he is not worthy to be a judge on the talent show.
In a report by GMA-7 News (authored by Jannielyn Ann Bigtas), Heart said that Jose deserves to be a part of the program because what he does as a comedian is very difficult.
"For those people who are judging why he’s here as a judge, sobrang hirap maging komediyante. It’s really something that’s innate and I think for him to be a judge is perfect because hindi biro ‘yong ginagawa niya every day," Heart explained.
Her co-judge Cherie Gil also defended Jose, saying that the latter is an expert on judging since he is responsible for the auditions on Eat Bulaga.
"Ngayon ko lang rin nalaman na he does all the auditions in Eat Bulaga! That’s why he begets in all the people who are performers who are supposed to come and perform ikaw ‘yong nago-audition,” the veteran actress stated.
In a previous report by KAMI, Heart revealed that she got injured while shooting an action film in Hong Kong.
Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero tied the knot on February 15, 2015. The actress got pregnant earlier this year with a pair of twins. Unfortunately, the Kapuso star lost both of her kids due to miscarriage. As for Chiz, he has two children already with his ex-wife Christine Elizabeth Flores.
