- Erwin Tulfo’s license to carry firearms has expired
- He has been ordered by the PNP to surrender all of his guns
- PNP chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde gave a warning to Tulfo about what will happen if he will not surrender his firearms
Erwin Tulfo has been ordered by the PNP to surrender his guns after his license to own and possess firearms expired last March.
KAMI learned that Philippine National Police chief Gen. Oscar Albayalde gave a warning on what will happen if the embattled journalist fails to surrender his firearms.
Albayalde said that the police will be forced to take action against him if Tulfo decides to keep his guns, as reported by The Philippine Star (authored by Emmanuel Tupas)
“We will be constrained to undertake police action. Alam naman nila yan. We have done that to several individuals already…
“Wala pa kaming namo-monitor na sinurrender na niya…
“We want to emphasize here that we are not zeroing only on Erwin Tulfo. Ito po ay standard operating procedure para sa lahat,” the PNP chief said.
KAMI reported earlier that Tulfo has been declared as persona non grata by the PMA Alumni Asociation.
Erwin Tulfo is a veteran journalist and broadcaster. His brothers are journalists as well. They are Ben, Ramon and Raffy Tulfo. He got into a controversy when he cursed at and threatened former general Rolando Bautista for not giving him an on-air interview.
