Garcia's family doctor reveals cause of the actor's critical condition

- Eddie Garcia is now in a critical condition after an accident which transpired during a shoot of GMA TV series

- The actor was rushed to the nearest hospital after collapsing in a scene as recorded in a viral video clip

- Their family doctor revealed that the doctors ruled out heart attack and stroke as the cause of his condition

Eddie Garcia collapsed while doing a scene for a TV series for GMA-7. He was rushed to the hospital and was even reported to have been in a state of coma for a brief moment.

In a previous report by GMA, a statement which was said to be from the actor's family said that he suffered from a heart attack.

However, in a report by ABS-CBN News, Dr. Enrique Lagman, Garcia's family doctor clarified that Eddie did not suffer a heart attack.

He suffered a neck fracture when he tripped and fell.

"The doctors ruled out heart attack and stroke as proven by several validating tests done in Mary Johnston hospital. He is in critical condition due to severe cervical fracture," he said.

Eddie Garcia is currently in a deep sleep. Netizens and celebrities rally and took to social media to ask for more prayers for the actor's recovery.

Many of them also called out those who are spreading fake news saying the actor already passed away. Garcia also had been a part of ABS CBN's FPJ and Probinsiyano where he played the role of Don Emilio.
