The Department of Trade and Industry is now investigating the scamming incident involving BLACKPINK fans during the girl group’s meet-and-greet event in the country.
KAMI learned from GMA Network that Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez confirmed the report himself.
According to a text response by the government official, he said that they are indeed looking into the incident. He wrote: “Yes, DTI is investigating.”
It can be recalled that many fans were furious after BLACKPINK's meet-and-greet yesterday, June 6, did not turn out as expected.
According to reports, BLINKS who paid a huge amount of money were denied entry into the event grounds where BLACKPINK held their fan meet.
Shopee has since issued an apology after what happened.

YG Entertainment first announced that Jennie will be making her first solo debut on October 2018. Blackpink was first introduced to the public in 2016 and performed numerous hit songs such as “BOOMBAYAH” and “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”
