President Rodrigo Duterte has shared his message for the Filipino Muslims who are observing the Eid al-Fitr on Wednesday.
KAMI learned that the President urged the Pinoy Muslims to “deepen” their role as instruments of “love, sacrifice, respect, and selfless service.”
“May all Muslim Filipinos observe this day as a time for reflection, enlightenment and renewal of commitment to a much stronger devotion to the Almighty,” the President said.
“May each of you remain our government’s partner in promoting peace and understanding among Filipinos from all walks of life,” he added.
Eid al-Fitr or Eid’l Fitr is an important holiday that marks the end of Ramadan, a month-long of reflection and fasting.

According to ABS-CBN News, President Duterte is the first president who came from Mindanao, which has the most Muslims in the country.
