Megan Young was recently asked what she thought of the LGBT community.
KAMI learned from GMA Network that the beauty queen fully supports the LGBT community in the country and wants to use her influence in order to promote equal rights for them.
In an exclusive interview with the Kapuso Network, Megan said:
Siyempre I'm an ally so full support ako d'yan. I have a lot of people in my family that are from the LGBT community and I always want to push for a better future for them so that equal 'yung rights nating lahat. Of course, I'm put in a position where I'm privileged and I want them to be able to have that privilege na hindi natin sasabihin na they're from the minority.
The actress also added that she hopes other people would also be able to change their mindset towards the LGBT community. She said:
I know that there will be a better tomorrow, we just have to continue fighting for it and I have a lot of friends that are very active activists in it. I completely support them. Love is love and I hope sana ma-push 'yung mga rights nila and people see past the image people have for LGBT.
