Film Director Jose “Joey” Javier Reyes instantly drew flak in the online world because of a statement that he threw about the judges in “Idol Philippines.”
KAMI learned that the said filmmaker took to social media his controversial suggestion about the artists who should serve as the jurors in the said singing competition.
Although Direk Joey did not mention specific persosn to be replaced, he wrote 3 names of local artists as his bet to become judges in “Idol PH.”
He mentioned the names of Jed Madela, Morisette Amon, and Gary Valenciano as replacements of the 3 judges in the show.
The veteran filmmaker also expressed that credibility is more important in singing competitions more than being a famous celebrity.
“Suggestion: Jed Madela, Gary Valenciano, Morisette Amon as replacements? Credibility is important ... more than celebrity,” Direk Joey posted.
Because of this, he received a lot of negative comments from netizens who believe that the producers have already decided about the matter even before the program aired.
Some pointed out that the director must just respect who were chose as judges since “Idol Philippines” has been airing for how many weeks already.
