Toronto Raptors and their fans are loud and proud of their recent historic win against Golden State Warriors. KAMI learned that for the first time ever, Raptors were able to win a game in the NBA Finals.
In a report by the Rappler Sports, the Raptors gained their victory at home, Scotiabank Arena in Ontario on Friday (PHL time). The historic win ended up with 118-109, advantage of Raptors.
Pascal Siakam made his career-best score by shedding 32 points for Raptors, while Kawhi Leonard contributed 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists. Another Toronto key player Marc Gasol had a strong finish with 20 points and 7 rebounds.
Without Warriors’ Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry led the game with 34 points, while Klay Thompson had 21 points.
Canadian rapper and producer Drake was also in the Game 1 to support his home team. He was wearing the Toronto jersey of Dell Curry, the father of Stephen Curry.
Raptors are set to face Warriors again in their homecourt on June 3, Monday (PHL time).
