Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson named a Chinese national whom he claimed was behind the P1.8 billion worth of shabu that slipped into the Philippines last March 22.
KAMI learned from the Inquirer (author Neil Arwin Mercado), that despite being included in the blacklist, Zhijian Xu alias Jacky Co, still managed to escape from the Philippines.
“Even revolting is, in spite of his alleged involvement in criminal activities here and in China, he had left Manila via Philippine Airlines flight bound for Vietnam passing through Singapore on April 3, 2019, few days after the seizure of his shipment of drugs,” Lacson said in a privileged speech on Wednesday.
Lacson also claimed that Co is among the most wanted persons in China and is included in the Interpol watchlist.
The senator also shared that aside from being involved in the drug trade, Co is also part of a big kidnapping syndicate in the Philippines, as reported by Rappler (author Rambo Talabong).
