DOTr Undersecretary Mark De Leon said that Lopez should not mock the capabilities of the government by violating traffic rules.
“‘Wag natin i-mock ang kakayanan ng gobyerno by clearly disobeying traffic rules. Nakaligtas ka man noong oras na ginawa mo ‘yan, we will make sure you will get penalized. Let this be a stern warning to everyone else. We enjoin the citizenry to report these kinds of violations and we will act on it swiftly,” De Leon said.
The DOTr also said that that the LTO will be charging Lopez for reckless driving, not wearing seat belt, illegal modification, and improper person to operate a motor vehicle.
The license of Lopez will be revoked and he will be disqualified to apply for a new one in the future.
