- A lot of netizens responded to her tweet
- All of them tried their best to answer Jodi's question accurately
Jodi Sta. Maria expressed her curiosity towards the new terms or words that netizens, mostly the youth, have been using nowadays.
According to her, she wants to know why other people have to add extra letters to their words, particularly the words "cancelledt" and "shookt".
"Seryosong tanong po ito : Curious lang ako malaman bilang pa-Titas of Manila na ako...bakit may extra letters sa cancelledt at shookt? Meron pa bang ibang words na similar dito? Thank you!"
Some netizens gave their explanations and said that adding letter "t" on some words would make it sound more intense.
While others admitted that they also have the same question as Jodi.
Moreover, there are also some Twitter users who gave hilarious comments on her tweet.
On the other hand, some of the people who replied to Jodi's tweet said that they find it improper to use such words because it will just confuse others.
"pauso lang po yan ng mga millenials. Pa-cool stuff. Lets stick to the right ones."
"modern kaartehan sa social media madir!!"
"kasi yung tunog na nacreate ng past tense na verbs minsan may soft silent /t/ sa dulo kaya dinadagdagan ng [t] sa dulo nung verb like cancelled -> cancelledt, shook -> shook"
"for emphasis po tita hahaha para intensedt ganoin"
"para daw po mas dama pag binanggit mama jods! haha miss u po!"
