In a report by the ABS-CBN News, the proposed measure aims to provide a comprehensive renal replacement therapy or replacing the normal blood-filtering function of the kidneys to patients at the last stage.
The bill also expands the PhilHealth package rates for kidney transplant replacement therapy from living and deceased donors.
As reported by the GMA News (author Erwin Colcol), the qualified indigent patients will be covered by the “No Balance Billing Policy.”
