After several days of waiting, the Comelec has finally proclaimed the 12 senators who won in the midterm elections.
In a KAMI report, the 12 senators who got the highest number of votes include Sen. Cynthia Villar, Sen. Grace Poe, Bong Go, former Sen. Pia Cayetano, Bato Dela Rosa, Sen. Sonny Angara, former Sen. Lito Lapid, Gov. Imee Marcos, Francis Tolentino, Sen. Aquilino “Koko”, former Sen. Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., and reelectionist Nancy Binay.
A group picture of the Magic 12 showed that 10 of them made the Duterte Fist Bump while two refrained from showing the popular sign.
These two were Sen. Grace Poe and reelectionist Nancy Binay.
Sen. Grace Poe ran as an Independent while reelectionist Nancy Binay was backed by UNA.
A KAMI report also showed how Sen. Bong Revilla did the budots dance after being proclaimed.
While none of the Otso Diretso was able to grab a spot in the Magic 12, they were said to have won over Twitter.
The senatorial elections was held last May 13, 2019.
