Raffy Time took to Facebook to greet his Kapamilya friends on its 65th anniversary this June 2019. Despite the so called "network wars," the GMA reporter expressed support towards the TV network.
According to him, though they see the Kapamilyas as competition, they are one when they are out in the field.
He also wished the station more years to serve the Filipinos.
ABS-CBN stars recently called out singer and Assistant Vice President for Entertainment ng Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) Jimmy Bondoc for his post about a giant network which might shut down.
“I am so excited to see the biggest tv network close down.I AM EAGERLY AWAITING YOUR DEMISE," part of Bondoc's post reads.
This prompted some stars to react including Angel Locsin. Sunshine Cruz, Angeline Quinto, Deo Edrinal, and some other stars also stood reacted.
Raffy Tima was one of GMA’s main reporter during the 2000 to 2004 series of kidnappings by the Abu Sayyaf Group, an Islamic extremist group in southern Mindanao, and the all-out war waged by the Armed Forces of the Philippines against the Islamic separatist Moro Islamic Liberation Front in central Mindanao. Tima has also covered the War in Afghanistan in 2001 and Iraq in 2004.
